About Me- Shaina Paris

Hi all, thank you so much for reading my blog! I figured it was about time to introduce myself and have you get to know me a little bit better! My name is Shaina Paris and I am in my senior year of high school. I currently live in a small town in Pennsylvania with my mom and dad and our revolving door of exchange students,  as of today we have had 9, as well as our dog, cat and 4 chickens.

Currently I am an intern for NASH FM 106.7 and I work for Cumulus radio as a promotions member. At my internship I am in charge of some of what gets posted on our twitter as well as being a guest on the air sometimes. As for my job  I get to go to events such as grand openings of businesses, other promotional events and sometimes concerts. We  stand outside and promote our radio station(s) and get people to register to win tickets or hand out free radio promotion items.

This June I began this blog to share my love of country music with other country music lovers too! I noticed that a lot of up and coming artists don’t get a ton of attention so I thought I could give them a place for them to get their name and music out to the public more. A few of my favorite “big name” country artist would have to be: Carrie Underwood,  Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert and Sam Hunt. But I also have a few up and coming favorites too, such as: Chris Lane, Craig Campbell, Lauren Alaina, Runaway June  RaeLynn, Kacey Musgraves, and Brett Young.

Ever since I can remember I grew up listening to country music! I can vividly remember my first BIG concert was Toby Keith. I was 8 years old and was super excited. There was even a karaoke machine and you could sing any Toby Keith song on the list. At the time my favorite song of his was “Good to Go to Mexico”, so in front of at least 200 people my 8 year old self sang it in hopes that Toby would hear me and let me meet him and sing on stage with him. That didn’t happen but I had so much fun putting on a little show and singing that song!

Over the summer I got to visit country music’s capital- Nashville. While I was there I did a college visit to Belmont University. As soon and I step foot onto that campus I felt all my dreams that I wanted were right in front of me. The day of my visit I made a few friends  and we still keep in contact today and we all are hoping we get into Belmont and be roommates! I am hoping to attend Belmont next year and major in music business with an aspiration of becoming a country music publicist.

Thank you for reading my blog and supporting me. I hope you continue to and are enjoying the content I am putting out. If you have any ideas, suggestions or questions please feel free to contact me!
