Happy Friday everyone!

In honor of Father’s Day, I asked my father, Adam, to share his Friday Favorites!

With Father’s Day coming up this weekend, songs about being a father are stuck in my head.  With that in mind, here are my 5 favorite songs this Friday. – Adam

Tough Little Boys: Gary Allen

I never cried much growing up or as a younger man, it just wasn’t socially acceptable at that time.  But having a child creates an entirely new set of feelings, fears, and expectations.  With those come tears.  This song perfectly sums up what it’s like to become a father.

My Little Girl: Tim McGraw

This song has always been one that hits me hard and perfectly describes how I feel about my little girl!

There Goes My Life: Kenny Chesney

It’s hard to imagine how another person can completely change how and what you feel.  A child does become your life.  This year this song means even more as I prepare for “My Life” to move out and go away to college.

You’re Gonna Miss This:  Trace Adkins

We all are in a hurry to get to the next stage in life, but as a parent I want my daughter to slow down and enjoy the moments that she’s experiencing.  The future will arrive, there’s no need to rush, slow down, make memories and enjoy!

I loved Her First: Heartland

I know that one day I will be replaced as the most important man in Shaina’s life and this song reminds me of that, but it also reminds me that I was the first man she loved.
