Y’all! It finally happened! You’re probably asking what finally happened and that is… I MET KACEY MUSGRAVES and she wrote my tattoo!
It all started last weekend when Kacey posted on her Instagram that she was going to have a meet and greet on 9/27 from 5-7pm. I instantly knew I had to go! The problem was I had to be somewhere at 6:30 that same day! My friend and I had this plan to get to the store at 3 and wait until it was time. Fast forward to 9/26 and I saw that you had to make a purchase at the store in order to meet Kacey and there were only 250 people who were going to meet her. The store mentioned they were only going to be open from 10 until 3 that day so my friend and I got to the store at 9:30 and waited until the store opened. Within 5 minutes of us getting there about 10 other people joined the line. At 10 the store opened and I made my purchase. This confirmed I was officially meeting Kacey. I even got the earliest time slot to meet her which was at 5:00 so all the stars were aligned to meet Kacey! 4:45 came around and my last class got out. My friend picked me up and we headed to meet Kacey! Now when I tell you the line was long it was LONG! coming from both sides of the store. Thankfully I asked where the people with prepurchased wristbands went because that super long line was for those who were trying to buy things in order to meet Kacey. I got into the store and I started shaking. The reality was hitting HARD that I was about to meet the girl who I’ve been looking up to since I was a freshman in high school. It eventually was my turn to meet Kacey. I walked up with pure confidence and asked Kacey to write my tattoo. She was taken aback a bit but heard me out and asked what style I wanted. I told her that it didn’t matter and that I just wanted it to be in her handwriting. Seconds later she had not only written my tattoo but even added an arrow which I wanted too but didn’t tell her. It all fit together perfectly! I got a photo with her after and went on with my night! It may have been only a minute but it felt like forever and I didn’t want it to end. It was all perfect no matter the amount of time that was spent with her. The next step is to actually get the tattoo! I am beyond happy and will never forget this moment in my life.
