On March 2nd I was able to see “The Breakers Tour” which had opening acts of Midland and Kacey Musgraves and the headline act was Little Big Town. When I got home I began to think how privileged I am to live where I do. I live in Central Pennsylvania which may not sound like a country music destination but in reality, we are. Over the past years, I’ve been able to see Dan + Shay, Brantley Gilbert (2x), Thomas Rhett, Frankie Ballard, Chase Rice (2x), The Band Perry, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line (2x), Carrie Underwood, Hunter Hayes, Craig Campbell (3x), Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band, Lauren Alaina, Michael Ray, William Michael Morgan and many more. Even though Hershey is in Central PA and does bring in big named acts there is also small locations that bring in the big named acts too. People I talk to get so surprised when they ask me how I’ve seen so many people in concert and I tell them all the small venues that host some of the artists. I encourage every one of you to look at your small venues near you that host any musicians and see if one of your favorites will be coming to that location. You never know who could be performing at that local venue in your town.

Now, about “The Breakers Tour”.  It was amazing!

Midland opened up the show and performed a few upbeat songs including their hit song “Drinking Problem”. When that song began to play the energy in the area went way up, instantly. Midland was very interactive with the crowd too and you could tell that they were really feeding off the crowds energy.

After Midland was my personal favorite, Kacey Musgraves. She was very open with us after she sang her opening song,  admitting that she had a really bad hangover and that shots of tequila the night before a show were probably not the best choice she ever made. She sang her two new songs “Space Cowboy” and “Butterflies” and then my favorite song EVER “Follow Your Arrow”. I was in awe of seeing Kacey perform live. She tells amazing stories through all her songs that nearly everyone can relate to. I made a sign that read “Kacey, Will you write my tattoo?” because ever since I heard “Follow Your Arrow” I had an instant connection with it and have dreamt about getting those words tattooed on me especially in Kacey’s handwriting. Unfortunately, Kacey did not see the sign and was not able to write it on that night. But, I will not give up. I am determined to one day meet Kacey and have her write my tattoo out.

The last act was the talented Little Big Town. The room’s energy exploded when the band came out! They played so many of their hit songs and everyone was singing along. They sang “Girl Crush” and “Better Man” which are my two personal favorites. They were also extremely interactive with fans by waving to them and even throwing out guitar picks. They put on an amazing show that left me without a voice!

Overall, “The Breakers Tour” was an amazing tour that I could tell had a lot of love, energy, and passion put into it.

Ps. If anyone has any connection to Kacey Musgraves please let me know or even show her this post. I’d love to have her write my tattoo.
